#1 I see that when I upgraded to Mavericks last year, I got the recent 'iMovie' app. And then after the update OSX left a folder called iMovie 9.0.9 in my hard drive. So I take it this is the older legacy version of iMovie. Since I had never used that version, could I just safely delete the folder and Trash it? The iMovie 9.0.9 does not appear in my Launchpad, only the newer 'iMovie' appears there. I'm afraid that if I (finally) upgrade to Yosemite 10.10.3, it will install the brand new Photo app, but leave like 3 legacy versions of iPhoto cluttering the HD. #2 I see that when I upgraded to Mavericks last year, I got the recent 'iMovie' app. And then after the update OSX left a folder called iMovie 9.0.9 in my hard drive. The one exception being the stabilizer in volume 8. But the other plug-ins appear to be working fine. Our installers are not Lion compatible, so you will need to install on a non-Lion machine first. Then copy the plug-ins from the User/Library/iMovie/Plug-ins folder to a USB key, and then install in the same location on your Lion system. One tricky part to manually install in Lion is that the User/Library folder is hidden. To show this folder hold the option key when selecting the Go menu and the Library folder will appear.Hope this info helps. If you need further assistance, please contact [email protected] - the Slick software guys Aug 25, 2011 5:20 AM in response to BruceGee Good work Bruce! It's great to hear that the Slick plug-ins (other than Stabilizer) work in Lion. I've not upgraded from Snow Leopard yet and don't use iMovie HD 6 much nowadays, but it's comforting to know that things will still work under Lion. I have all Volumes (1 - 10) of Slick and can highly recommend them.Slick is the thing I miss the most now that I'm mainly using iMovie '11. I was using iMovie HD 6 the other day to review an older (wedding) project, and was once again very impressed with the titles, transitions and effects I had used from Slick. Thank you for a great product!John Aug 30, 2011 5:34 AM in response to stephenhamm This gives me a reason to not upgrade to Lion. I've come to the conclusion that I haven't liked the limitations of iMovie '11 and now will be buying Slick plugins to give '06 the capabilities that I'll never have in '11. I've looked at them for years but always wanted to give Apple the benefit of the doubt to regain its sanity and allow plugins.. Installing iMovie on PC.
