When my aftermarket ink stoped working a few days ago I emailed my vendor and he told me to turn off the auto update, but failed to say how to do it. I too am very upset with the greed of HP. Many years ago Xerox tried to force all of its copier users to use their toner. The government steped in and put an end to that practice.
