If you say points, are they point entities or blocks? If points DE will only be able to extract their XYZ coordinates. Everything starting with vl is a Visual Lisp extension, which is by default not loaded. The vl-load-com loads all the Visual Lisp extension functions.The best bet is to add (vl-load-com) to the start of the LSP file which uses it.
