I bought BBQScreen, because other screencast/recorder apps (like Screencast Video Recorder from Media Solutions) do not work on the GNex, since they all use the framebuffer method (which is known not to work on GNex). BBQScreen works, but cannot record (yet) the screencast into a video. Due to the way it works (puts enormous load on the CPU if scale is set to 100% to keep the original HD resolution), I do not expect the BBQScreen Android app to be able to record the screencast locally (on the phone). But the Mac/Windows/Linux client could do it pretty easily. Even now I can do it using some 3rd party Mac screenrecorder (like iShowU), but it's a bit cumbersome.
